A Teen’s Guide to Dementia is an online resource bank and community dedicated to supporting teens with relatives or friends who have dementia.

Having a family member or friend receive a dementia diagnosis can be a surprisingly isolating experience for a young person. Adults are more in position to help, to “do something” for dementia patients, whether that be securing care, organizing medical visits or overseeing medication. Teens and young people, on the other hand, can be left feeling helpless, and even like a burden – not wanting to bother people with their feelings while their parents or family are dealing with so many other things.
